Call for papers
The 3rd edition of the EU-PAIR 2024 Annual International Conference convenes to address crucial and emerging themes concerning the trajectories of European public administrations’ responses and resilience amidst challenging circumstances. Academics, researchers, practitioners, doctoral candidates, students, and stakeholders are invited to engage in discussions on June 20th – 21st at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. Globally, governments and public administrations confront unprecedented uncertainties and obstacles, necessitating innovative managerial, financial, accounting, economic, organizational, and policy approaches.The EU-PAIR Conference 2024 theme is Empowering European Workforces through Skills Development.In light of the European Commission’s unveiling of the European Skills Agenda, aimed at fostering sustainable competitiveness, social fairness, and resilience, the EU-PAIR Conference 2024 invites scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and stakeholders to contribute to discussions surrounding skills development in the context of the European Year of Skills. The agenda sets forth ambitious objectives for upskilling and reskilling over the next five years, emphasizing collaborative efforts among Member States, companies, and social partners to drive positive change.Conference Focus: The conference will focus on exploring innovative strategies, best practices, and policy frameworks to promote lifelong learning, empower individuals, and address the evolving skills demands in the wake of the green and digital transitions.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
The interdisciplinarity of the EU administrative science field permits to have a broader list of subjects for debating from all areas of research. Participants are encouraged to delve into topics including but not limited to: skills development policies and initiatives at national and regional levels, public-private partnerships for enhancing workforce skills, digital literacy and competency development, green skills and sustainability education, inclusive approaches to skills training for diverse populations, impact assessment and evaluation of skills development programs, future trends in workforce skills and labor market demands.The following tracks are stated for the conference (but not limited to):
On June 21st the Workshop “Young Professionals in European Administrative Area” will be dedicated to students as part of Annual Conference. The activity is open to all interested students from UAIC or other universities. The workshop will be focused on themes related to the challenges of the public and private sectors during the pandemic times, being oriented to the comparative studies, analysis, case-studies, and research. The best papers presented will be published as part of Scientific Proceeding of the Conference.
PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES
The papers (maximum 2 papers/person) presented during the EU-PAIR 2024 will be double peer-reviewed for originality, clarity, significance, and scientific contributions. The accepted papers will be sent to be included into the Scientific Proceeding of the Conference and to Clarivate Analytics for being indexed. The previous EU-PAIR proceedings were indexed into CEEOL, Google Scholar and accepted for being indexed into ProQuest under Clarivate databases.The length of the paper should be between 6 and 20 pages. The final paper should strictly follow the guidelines (see paper template).The authors will have the opportunity to publish into the following journals (in accordance with the journals requirements):
PRACTICALITIES
The language of the conference is English. The abstract and final paper must be submitted in English. The conference will be organised as hybrid event, but we strongly encourage in-person attendance for presenters.
